Changes and enhancements in Topocad 12 (2009-12-17) Generally The system files (symbols, line types, code table and attribute) can now be saved and used as XML-files and also as a collected XML-file. It makes it easier for you to see what they contain. It also makes it easier to distribute data between different users. CAD Copy a whole drawing, or parts of it, and paste it directly in another drawing. Associative dimensioning: the measurement knows when the object is edited. News and enhancements in Topocad 11.0 (December 22, 2008) General and administrative New look, buttons, colors and split menus. Many submenus have been removed to prevent navigation complexity. New buttons are intuitive and are not displayed when using other document types. The documents (drawing, survey data, digital terrain model, net adjustment) have now a history log and edit function to add notes for the documents. All system files have now a description. Point codes can be duplicated; attribute can have values from pre-defined tables. Line types are now handled in the same way as symbols with a possibility to edit and display the line types. The size of the hair cross can be varied. Check of data is made during saving to avoid corrupt files. CAD and drawing External references: It is possible to refer all types of files that are importable to a drawing, so except for TOP files it is now possible to use DWG, DXF, DGN, MX, PXY, SHP, MIF, KOF, SOSI, SDR and LandXML files among others as external references! External references: For files that have layers it is possible to set layers on off for the external references and we also handle scale, insertion point and direction in the external references. Layer manager: The layers can be grouped. Each layer has a value for a group, as soon as it is typed in the layer belongs to this group. Layer collection: It is possible to save layer collections so it is possible to make a quick jump to between different layer collections and it is also possible to connect a drawing view to a layer collection. Least square calculation of line from points and from points in a polyline. Drawing sheet – views: Each view has its layer collection. Automatic command to create a scale bar and North Arrow in the drawing view. Volume management: New command to calculate volumes between two digital terrain models towards an excavation bottom made only of polylines. Select the bottom and give slopes to different digital terrain models using two different slopes upwards and one downwards if it is fill. A new digital terrain model for the excavation is created.
