It contains a built-in viewer that reads document, drawing and picture formats and several hundred formats can be read, printed and converted into other formats. Project templates give you structured folders, document names and meta keys for faster search and structure. The system is integrated with MS Office and MS Outlook, so you are able to save your e-mails directly in a project.
Chaos desktop is two products in one – one is the document manager that collects your data, the tool to use for work with automatized routines for your data, to create data from templates and the tool to create metadata in the best way. The second is the user interface for the project server Chaos server. The document manager Chaos desktop is easy-to-use and has in its base four windows – the folders and projects you work in, the files, the job window and a combo window with data about the file – metadata. The metadata consists of history, log, links connected to the file, viewer and more. The “job” window contains a package of files that you can work with or download from or to your project server. You can also use intelligent program starts, templates etc. for best use of your data. Chaos desktop can be connected to project stored in the Chaos server. Data can be stored locally, in the network or at Internet servers. Built-in viewer that reads almost all formats. Chaos desktop handles all available formats there is. Files may be connected to other type of files like external references - drawings, pictures, etc. When copying or zipping those files the referenced files will be included.
